This book is different from the usual, in which are told in fictional form and fun, the adventures of an amateur astronomer, that last da quasi 40 anni in Italia e fuori d'Italia, dalle prime esperienze da adolescente fino alle osservazioni sofisticate della maturità, dai viaggi per vedere comete ed eclissi a quelli per osservare il cielo in alta montagna e nell'emisfero meridionale. In mezzo, digressioni varie sulle donne e l'astronomia, sui ridicoli strafalcioni astronomici dei mass-media, sull'inquinamento luminoso e sulla politica celeste e terrestre, sui NEO e sui Grandi Fenomeni Celesti, sulla fotografia astronomica e sui miti delle costellazioni, e molto altro.
Un libro insolito, ma che costituisce una preziosa chiave di accesso per i non astrofili e gli adolescenti per capire quali siano le fonti d'ispirazione che trasformano una persona "Normal" (sic) in a "sick" of the sky and, for amateurs, to find and share the roots of a sacred fire that once lit, can only burn for a lifetime.
